do you Struggle with Postpartum Depression, rage, anxiety, ptsd, or ocd?

DROP the FEAR, LOSE the GUILT, and RISE ABOVE the ANGER in my 6 week online meditation course and become MASTER of your MOOD and your MIND.

Afraid that you're just not cut out to be a mom?

Are you so over it with this whole parenting thing?  Frustrated with how hard it all is?

Feeling guilty because you don't even know how to be nice to your partner anymore, let alone be intimate?

Embarrassed by your outbursts of rage?  Worry you're pushing people away with your anger?

Constantly worried that something terrible is about to happen?

Wish you could get more sleep but you're so wound-up you can't even rest when the baby is sleeping?

Tired of those bizarre, demented intrusive thoughts that come out of nowhere and haunt you for days?

Exhausted from the constant obsessions with hand washing, counting, and checking?

The perinatal (pregnancy & postpartum) period can bring many unexpected symptoms: anxiety, irritability, depression, panic attacks, numbness, fatigue, lack of interest in the baby, intrusive thoughts, obsessive behaviors, insomnia, and even post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • 15-20% of women experience anxiety or depression during pregnancy or during the year following childbirth.  (PSI)

  • Postpartum depression is the most under-diagnosed obstetric complication in the U.S. (Earls, 2010)
  •  9% will experience postpartum PTSD and 3% will experience postpartum OCD.  (PSI)

While some women will experience true perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, many women will experience mild mood changes after having a baby that still affect their quality of life.  And perinatal mood and anxiety disorders do not discriminate!  Dads and partners are not immune to feeling depressed or anxious after the birth of a child!

If you have a perinatal mood or anxiety disorder or if you're simply tired of feeling like you just cannot get it together I want you to know that I see you.  I hear you.  And I understand.  I know what it's like to feel completely overwhelmed and moody and at the same time ashamed because there is just so much to be grateful for.

It Doesn't Have to Be This Way

Fortunately, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders are temporary and treatable.

From talk therapy to naturopathic care to pharmaceutical medication, there are different options that work for different people.  Often a multi-faceted approach is most effective.

Parents and practitioners alike are beginning to recognize the value of yoga, meditation, and deep breathing as complementary care for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.

There's a certain type of yoga, meditation, and breathing that is quick, direct, and targeted.

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation as taught by Yogi Bhajan stands out from the many schools of yoga and meditation because the effects can be felt in as little as three minutes.  This makes the practice very attractive to busy people with a lot going on, we like to call them "householders."  Parents especially thrive with a regular practice of Kundalini Yoga and Meditation.

I really liked that the course delved into the different aspects of postpartum depression and anxiety because different women experience it in different ways.  It was encouraging to see issues like rage, intrusive thoughts, and negative repetitive thought patterns addressed because it made me feel like I didn't have to be ashamed for experiencing those symptoms."

An incredible gift to the heart and soul of any mother..."

“Gloria's Peace for Postpartum Course is an incredible gift to the heart and soul of any mother. This course allowed me to make space in my day to focus on myself and become more centered as a mother and a person. It gave me meditation practices and tools for a wide range of situations and emotions. The rhythm, focus, clarity, support, and peace that came through the daily practice has been invaluable."

Haven't felt this good in over four years..."

“Peace for Postpartum has completely empowered me with the confidence and personal wisdom to take care of myself first, in turn being a better mom and wife, to take control of my thoughts, emotions, actions, live more fully in the moment and bring hope back into my life.  I began taking this course after 4.5 years of silently struggling with postpartum anxiety and rage that never went away, being in a pretty desperate and downhearted place in my life.  I have been liberated, and for the first time I have the honest desire to have another baby.  I haven't felt this good in over four years.  My meditation time has easily become the highlight of my day.  Just getting myself on my mat and tuning in allows the forward momentum to make the shift, become aware of and reconnect with my breath, and carry this precious work into any part of my day, giving my truth back to me and my life."

Taking care of my mental and emotional health..."

“Like most new moms, I was concerned about how much time I would have to do anything other than caring for my baby. This course has been an excellent and practical means of taking care of my mental and emotional health, allowing me to better care for my baby. Since beginning the course, I have generally been more calm and relaxed and have been sad and angry less often. Even when I am experiencing such emotions, they are less overwhelming, and I am able to process the reasons behind them more easily."

About Your Instructor

I’ve spent the past 10 years helping pregnant and postpartum moms find peace for pregnancy and postpartum through Kundalini Yoga & Meditation.  I’m certified in teaching both Hatha and Kundalini Yoga, and trained in the Khalsa Way Pregnancy Yoga Program, Spirit Baby Mommy & Me Yoga, Overcoming PTSD through Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, SuperHealth: Yogic Science for Breaking Habits & Addictive Behaviors, and the Kundalini Level 2 Module Stress & Vitality.

I’m a mom to three boys spanning toddlerhood to the tween and teenage years.  I created this course not just for the moms I work with, but for myself.

Sounds so great... but who has time for this?

I know what you're probably thinking... "Sure, this sounds awesome, but I have these tiny people to take care of and I can barely get a hot shower let alone time to meditate."

I hear you.  And I've been there.  The thing is, I've found that if you want something bad enough, you'll make time for it.  Babies nap, and when they do, it's the perfect time to dive into your self-care practice, stretch out your body, and meditate.  You'll be so glad you did.

This course was created for moms.  I know you want the biggest bang for your buck in the shortest amount of time. I've included meditations that, once learned, can be practiced in three minutes.  Yep, you read that right.  Three minutes.  Yes, some of them are longer than that but it's amazing what just three minutes can do to shift your consciousness.

What if I've tried to meditate before and it's too hard?

If you've tried meditation before and found your mind wandering, gotten bored, or felt frustrated because you just can't "get it," I have good news for you.  Kundalini Yoga is far from the "sit down and still your thoughts" kind of meditation that can be intimidating for beginners.  In fact, it's perfect for beginners because it often utilizes very specific breath patterns, hand positions, eye focuses, and even sounds to achieve a specific result.  There's a lot going on besides just "sitting there" so your mind has some things to focus on.  It's challenging, yes, but totally doable.  Plus, there is plenty of variety in the Kundalini tradition, so if one meditation isn't your jam, chances are, there's another one that you'll love.
