Peace for Pregnancy, Postpartum, Parenting, and Life
The life of a "householder," and especially the life of a parent with children at home, can be exhausting, overwhelming, stressful, and downright crazy sometimes. We become overrun with worry, guilt, and frustration as the candle burns at both ends. It's common knowledge that yoga and meditation are great for stress relief but many parents feel overwhelmed by the time and energy it takes to get themselves to the yoga studio and the daunting task of learning a new practice. Fortunately, the quick, powerful, and direct techniques in the Kundalini Yoga & Meditation tradition are a perfect fit for such "householders," and at Blissful Family Yoga, I make these teachings accessible to parents at any stage of the parenting game.
My mission with Blissful Family Yoga is to empower all members of your family with tools and techniques from the Kundalini Yoga tradition to heal from trauma and addictions, relieve stress, depression, and anxiety, and live happier, more peaceful lives.
Through Blissful Family Yoga, I offer both online meditation courses for parents across the globe as well as live classes, courses, and events for parents and children in the beautiful mountain town of Bozeman, Montana.
Thank you Gloria for being a guiding light for us new mothers!

My Journey to Yoga
My name is Gloria Overcash, although I do go by my yogic or spiritual name, Ravi Inder Kaur, in the Kundalini Yoga community. More about that later. At age 19, I discovered Hatha yoga and practiced at home with a book for beginners. A year later, I found myself unexpectedly pregnant with my first child. Determined to have the healthiest pregnancy I could, I dove into a home practice with Jeannine Parvati Baker’s classic book “Prenatal Yoga and Natural Birth.” About five years later, in 2007, I discovered Kundalini Yoga and knew right away it would be my lifelong practice. Not long after, while pregnant once again, I attended my first teacher training- The Khalsa Way Pregnancy Yoga Program, rooted in the ancient science of Kundalini Yoga. I was blown away by the power of the practice and the beautiful community of teachers and practitioners. It would be my path.
On My Path
It's been nearly a decade since I began practicing and teaching Kundalini Yoga and I am continually inspired by the transformation brought about by this practice. It is my humble duty to act as a "forklift," as my teacher Yogi Bhajan liked to say, serving my community while elevating students to have an experience of their own excellence as well as sharing yogic techniques to navigate through life with strength, peace, and grace. Since my first training in 2008, I've attended several more, including specialty training in addiction recovery yoga and supporting people with PTSD through Kundalini Yoga and Meditation. I've helped hundreds of parents find peace for pregnancy, postpartum, and parenting through this practice.
My spiritual name, Ravi Inder Kaur, means “Princess of God who is blessed to live with divine consciousness, who shines with the radiance of the Sun, and who has the light of God in her eyes.” I had a feeling you might be curious!
I was born into a farming family in rural Illinois. I moved to Montana when I was just 18 years old and fell in love with this beautiful state. Soon after I would fall in love again, this time with the incredible man who would become my husband. Together we have three wild and wonderful boys: a toddler, a tween, and a teen! We make our home in downtown Bozeman, MT, and enjoy the rugged beauty of the mountains that surround us. We love the sun and we love the snow, and most importantly, we love spending time all together.
In addition to teaching yoga, I work part time at World Family School, our local Waldorf initiative, as "Mother Hen" in the pre-k program. It's important to me to be with my littlest one while he is still little and I love everything about the Waldorf Early Childhood approach to being with children. I cherish the rhythm, the nourishing environment and dream-like mood, the simple yet delicious food, and the wonderful children I get to care for. Life is truly sweet.

I value extensive training and education in my field as a vital part of serving women and families with integrity and grace.
